Congratulations on surviving your first week to everyone who headed back to school and work this week! Getting back into the swing of things and adjusting to new schedules can be hard, but I have faith that we’ll all adapt! This week was super busy for me, mostly trying to figure out how to balance working full days on Monday and Wednesday with school work. I had planned on making something more elaborate for you guys, but instead I’m sharing what I like to call a “nothing in the fridge” easy weeknight meal.

Friends! Today is the first day of my new externship and of classes. I’m excited and also not quite ready for summer to end… But, I’m trying to remind myself that fall is awesome and consists of things other than school like crisp mornings, football games, and pumpkin everything! I spent my last weekend of freedom acquiring a new TV addiction — Scandal (OMG SO GOOD!!!!!) and relaxing.
On Friday, I was super lame and watched Scandal after Chris fell asleep early. I thoroughly enjoyed myself :).
Hello everyone!! Happy Monday!!! My classes start next Monday – wah!!! I’m not quite ready for summer to end – which is why we should reflect on this past weekend!!!
This past weekend, Chris and I traveled to his mom’s house on the Currituck Sound in North Carolina. Due to MASSIVE amounts of traffic, we unfortunately didn’t arrive until midnight and ate in the car — no pictures of that lovely sight.
Saturday was pretty overcast so we took it easy for most of the day. Chris, his brother-in-law, and I headed out for our 9 mile run. Chris’ brother-in-law is running the half marathon too — he’s more experienced though and left us in the dust!
Monday again! How are you feeling this morning? I’m still wishing it was the weekend, it always seems too short!
This weekend, Chris and I traveled to Ocean City, MD to spend time with my parents. We arrived late in the evening on Friday, so I don’t have any pictures!
