Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a lovely weekend. Chris and I were in DC this weekend and had a great time hanging out with friends.
On Friday, I picked up this pimento cheese. This is Chris’ favorite brand, so when I saw it at Giant I knew I needed to buy it! It definitely doesn’t have the same calorie count as my Lightened Up Pimento Cheese, but it is delicious!!
After having a happy hour with some of that pimento cheese, Chris and I headed out with some friends in Arlington. We went to Arlington Rooftop and had a great time dancing and chatting!
I made Jessica’s feta dip, which is very similar to Cava’s crazy feta. For the non-DC readers, Cava is a very popular restaurant over here. I haven’t been, but I need to go! I plan on making the dip again and posting the recipe for you here!
We had a fabulous time at the barbecue and there was a ton of great food! Burgers, brats, deviled eggs, quinoa salad, sweet potato tots, guacamole, and chocolate chip cookies!
On Sunday, Chris and I relaxed and watched Sideways. I really liked it and now have a very strong desire to visit Wine Country! Someday!!
Chris and I finally made it out for our 7 mile run around 6. We ran along the canal that runs parallel to the Potomac River, so we had gorgeous views the whole time! I’ll have to take my camera next time to snap some pictures.
For dinner, I made buffalo chicken burgers. I just added 1/4 cup of Franks to some ground chicken and they were great!! I put a little light ranch on my bun instead of ketchup/mayo. They were really fantastic and easy!! We had ours with roasted veggies and baked sweet potato fries.
After dinner, Chris and I watched an episode of Breaking Bad. I’m not sure what my thoughts are yet, but I think I’m going to like it. Do any of you watch Breaking Bad?
